Harrogate Golf Club was proud to be the first club in Yorkshire awarded the R&A “Women in Golf” Charter. In line with R&A and England Golf principles we are committed to attracting more women and girls to the sport and encouraging them to participate at every level. We aim to create a friendly environment in which to enjoy the sport socially, and to provide opportunities for both qualifying and non-qualifying competitions which are open to all.
Over the past 3 years WLG has transitioned more than 30 women golfers from beginners to becoming course ready, and even joining the club as members.
The relaxed and fun environment will help you learn the skills needed to start the game and enjoy your new hobby with like-minded players.
WLG combines group coaching, on-course lessons, with a focus on growing the social aspects of golf.
We offer six week, group sessions from Head Teaching Professional, Sam Everson followed by a chance to practice what you have learned and meet some of our women members.
Just come along, wear trainers, all equipment provided, no pressure to join the Club!
