HARROGATE UNION INDIVIDUAL CHAMP'S FOR THE OGDEN TROPHY
|

This is the Premier individual event of the Harrogate and District Union.This year the 36 hole Tournament was held at Otley Golf Club on Sunday June 15th.The winner was our own NEIL FEGAN by 5 shots with rounds of 71-68 for a total of 139.This is a tremendous achievement by NEIL who has now won the Ogden Trophy on 6 occasions,the first in 1985.4 players were level with 71 after the 1st Round along with NEIL,including Harrogate members STEVE WHITWAM and JOE BUCKLEY.In the 2nd Round NEIL played superb golf with 3 birdies,14 pars and only 1 bogey showing his class and experience.Scores from other Harrogate members included STEVE WHITWAM 71-73=144,JOE BUCKLEY 71-73=144,MATT FOWLER 78-72=150,TIM MOORHOUSE 74-76=150,DAVID KEYWOOD 74-77=151.A fine performance by our players with 1st place for NEIL and joint 2nd for STEVE and JOE

HDU FIRST DIVISION TEAM CHAMPS at Romanby GC Sunday June 29th 2008

Our A Team came equal 1st with Oakdale A and the trophy was shared.Both 4 man teams scored 297 with Harrogate scores as follows:TIM MOORHOUSE 75,NEIL FEGAN 73,STEVE WHITWAM 75,JOE BUCKLEY 74.Our B team finished 9th on 315.

RICHARDSON BOWL 28 JUNE 2008

The Richardson Bowl (Club Championship) was contested by 37 players on 28 June. The CSS for both the morning and afternoon rounds was 70. The event was marked by high-quality golf, with 4 players returning scores below 140 over 36 holes. Congratulations to Neil Fegan who followed his success in the Ogden Trophy with a winning score of 135.
