The Ladies Section has over 100 members. From the earliest days, the Ladies have taken a significant role in the affairs of the Club and have enjoyed full and equal voting rights at the Club A.G.M. held in April each year. The A.G.M. of the Ladies takes place in November each year when the new Lady Captain takes office, together with the other officials of the section, and the new committee.
Four teams play in The Yorkshire County Golf Association Inter Club Team Championships, a scratch team, 'A', 'B' and ADP teams, the latter for working ladies.
Six matches are played by each team, 3 at home and 3 away, the draw being conducted by Y.L.C.G.A. The more matches the teams can win, the better chance of being in the County finals. 6 friendly matches are also played and have proved to be very popular, giving higher handicap ladies the opportunity of match play experience.
A large number of internal knockout competitions are played throughout the year, with many prizes being silver trophies which are much sort after. Normal competition days are Tuesday. An Invitation Day is held and an Open Day. A very busy and varied calendar of golf/social events are also much enjoyed.
